產品描述：
乳酸桿菌MRS瓊脂(Lactobacilli MRS Agar)，是弱選擇性培養基，支持絕大多數乳酸菌的旺盛生長。
工作原理
乳桿菌是長、細桿菌，不產芽孢，革蘭氏陽性，兼性厭氧型細菌。大多數乳桿菌在氧分壓減小、二氧化碳提高的條件下生長良好。果汁的腐敗多是嗜酸微生物如乳酸菌和酵母菌造成的。乳酸菌是重要的奶制品工業微生物。乳桿菌在食品工業中用于發酵泡菜。短乳桿菌是啤酒生產過程中的污染微生物，造成啤酒的變質。這些污染了乳桿菌的啤酒渾濁度增加。乳桿菌代謝產生的雙乙酰是一種強烈氣味的產物，使得啤酒風味改變。蛋白胨提供氮源。牛肉浸粉和酵母提取物作為維生素來源。葡萄糖是可發酵的碳水化合物。培養基的微酸性環境，有利于乳酸桿菌的生長。乙酸鈉和檸檬酸銨是選擇劑，同時也是能量物質。乙酸鈉對革蘭氏陰性細菌和霉菌有抑制作用，但對乳酸桿菌無影響。硫酸鎂和硫酸錳提供代謝必需的離子。司班80或吐溫80是非離子型表面活性劑，輔助乳桿菌對營養物質的利用。加入放線菌酮可以抑制霉菌和酵母的生長。

配制方法：
1. 稱取70g本產品，加入1000ml純水。加入1ml司班80或吐溫80。
2. 煮沸1min至完全溶解。
3. 121°C滅菌15min。
實驗方法
These plates can be streaked directly or used with a membrane filter for plate counts. Lactobacilli MRS Agar plates are incubated at 35ºC. for 24-72 hours in a CO2 incubator or under microaerophilic conditions (5% carbon dioxide, 5-10% oxygen). Lower temperatures of 22-25ºC. may be used for psychrotrophic counts or 42ºC. for thermophilic counts. It is recommended that biochemical and/or serological tests be performed on colonies from pure culture for complete identification.Direct Counts
1. To obtain direct counts of lactobacilli, pour 15-20 mL sterile, molten (45-50°C) Lactobacilli MRS Agar into sterile Petri dishes containing 1 mL volumes of diluted test sample.
2. Distribute the inoculum throughout the medium by rotating the plate in one direction and then in the reverse direction.
3. Allow the medium to solidify on a flat surface for 5-10 minutes.
4. Alternatively, plates of Lactobacilli MRS Agar can be used for direct recovery of organisms using the streak inoculation technique.
5. Incubate agar plates at 35°C for 3 days, or at 30°C for 5 days, in an aerobic atmosphere supplemented with carbon dioxide.
